Drink no more than one 12-ounce beer, one 5-ounce glass of wine or one swallow (1.5 ounces) of 80-proof whiskey if you?re a woman. Men can double these amounts. Anything more elevates blood pressure. You can reduce your blood pressure by 5-10 mmHg by just restricting Alcohol intake.
Exercise. First, get the green light from your physician. Then, slowly introduce aerobic exercise into your life, increasing the time and intensity at a pace that feels right, aiming for at least a 30-minute workout most days of the week. Young people should jog for 30 minutes three times per week and elderly patients should walk longer distances than usual.
Decrease Stress and Anxiety: Yes stress and anxiety also play role in high blood presure. If You want your blood pressure with in normal limits, try your self to get happy all times. Try extra curricular activities to make your mind stress free. Stress can make blood pressure go up for a while, and it has been thought to contribute to high blood pressure. But the long-term effects of stress are as yet unclear. Stress management techniques do not seem to prevent high blood pressure.

The victims are clearly caught off guard, and are understandably upset at the prospect of an arrest warrant being issued. It preys upon people?s general unquestioning acceptance of authority and willingness to cooperate in order to extract from them sensitive information.
How to Avoid Falling Victim to ?Jury Duty? Scams:
Be assured that court workers will
very rarely
, if ever, telephone to say you?ve missed jury duty, or that they are assembling juries and need to pre-screen those who might be selected to serve on them. So dismiss as fraudulent any phone calls of this nature. Keep in mind that about the only time you would ever hear, by telephone (rather than by mail), anything having to do with jury service, would be
after
you?ve mailed back your completed questionnaire, and even then only rarely.
This latest scam reinforces, once again, that you should
never
give out bank account, social security, or credit card numbers over the phone if you didn?t initiate the call ~ whether it be to someone trying to sell you something or to someone who claims to be from a bank or government department.

Australian PM outlines new approach to climate action
CANBERRA, July 23 (Xinhua) — All new coal-fired power stations in Australia will have to meet greener standards if Australian federal Labor is re-elected on Aug. 21, Prime Julia Gillard Minister announced on Friday.
The prime minister adopted a cautious approach in her speech, emphasizing that climate change was a big challenge and people had the right to be concerned about the risk of electricity prices rising.
She announced tougher emissions standards for new coal-fired power stations, and said Labor would invest 1 billion dollars (0.9 billion U.S. dollars) in the national electricity grid to make it more friendly to renewable energy.
“Labor also would reward businesses which restrain or cut their emissions by freezing baselines to be used in an emissions trading scheme, when it starts,” Gillard told Australian Associated Press in a speech at the University of Queensland in Brisbane

By being consistently effective at your work increases your chances of success in your career.
The 5 effective work habits are:
1. Volunteer for Assignments
One of the best ways to signal that you are a keen learner and are not afraid of hard work is to volunteer for assignments. Especially assignments that no one seems interested to do. However, before that do assess your own skills and knowledge to see if you can confidently accomplish it. If you are confident in completing the task in full and perfection, go ahead and volunteer for it. However, do remember one thing. Under promise and over deliver on the assignment you volunteered. Do not be too confident that you turn a perfect opportunity into mess. Once you start the project, see it till the end.

FARGO – In the sweltering summer days, West Fargo teacher Mike Preston is busy pouring concrete, not vacationing.
For nearly three months of the year, his summer job takes him far from his high school classroom.
“I think a majority of the public believes as soon as (teachers are) done with school, they go to the lakes or go golfing,” he said. “Very few people pull the plug when school gets out.”
In fact, when school resumes in August, many local teachers will have spent their summer working second jobs – from tutoring and teaching to seasonal work.
In 2005, 37 percent of teachers in the country received an income from summer jobs – non-school or school-related – according to the National Education Association.
“Most of the teachers I know work,” said Kim Belgarde, the president of the Fargo teachers association who also uses summer to teach and help run a camp for children with cancer.
For West Fargo teacher Andrea Noonan, it’s not just work that makes it difficult to fit a vacation into her summer.
The 29-year-old works up to 32 hours a week serving drinks at Paradiso Mexican Restaurant in Fargo while also juggling graduate classes and teaching summer school.
“I guess I wouldn’t mind a vacation,” she said. “(But) it’s good money – helps pay the mortgage.”
For other teachers, working non-teaching jobs in the summer gives work a temporary change of pace.
Fargo social studies teacher Beth Ekre helps her parents with their Park Rapids, Minn., strawberry farm. Fellow Fargo middle school teacher Mark Stack runs a lawn-care company. Art teacher Barb Nagle paints and sells art.
“A lot of people think we get paid for the three months we’re not working; we’re not,” said Nagle, who, after nine months of teaching art, relishes the chance to do the craft she loves

Visit their websites and check out if they have an
employment page. Use this to submit your job application. Since these sites normally don’t receive the amount of traffic
that even the minor posision search sites do, you have a much better chance of standing out from the crowd by doing it this
way.
It’s better to narrow your sites than apply to any job you are remotely qualified for. Each job application requiers your
full attention to stand out from the crowd. That means you have to make cover letters and resumes individually for each
particular job you are applying for. Don’t use the cut and paste technique to submit the same info to 100 job application
pages at a time. This won’t work.
You should also keep track of where you have submitted your cover letters and resumes, as well as which work posision search site you found the job listing through. You’ll need to follow up on leads in the search process and you also need to evaluate the job sites you have used, so that you can determine which sites best suit your needs.

That’s how you solve cases.”
Consider two separate fires, both originating in a wastebasket under a sink. In the first, someone emptied an ashtray into the can, igniting a fire from burning ash. In the second, someone lit a match and threw it into the trashcan in hopes of collecting an insurance claim from damages. “Both fires originated in a trash can,” says Zipper. “But I challenge anybody to tell me how that fire was started. If you can interview well and learn to read people, and mix that with diagramming, investigation, photography, and report writing, you will be a good fire investigator.”
While not all fire investigators have a law enforcement background, many do. In the state of New York, investigators are fire marshals who are full powered police officers (some “Fire Marshals” are fire service personnel who have received police training and are sworn as “peace officers”). In Connecticut, “local fire marshals” are usually members of local fire departments or work under the municipal government and get some basic training on code enforcement and origin and cause, but who have no law enforcement powers at all! Who is a “fire marshal” may vary too much from one place to the next to make any blanket statement.

Nato attack killed 50, says Karzai
0 Comments | Herald, The; Glasgow (UK), Jul 27, 2010
SOME 50 civilians have been killed in a Nato rocket attack, Afghanistan’s president has said.
Hamid Karzai’s statement said the Afghan intelligence service determined that a Nato rocket hit Regi village in Helmand province’s Sangin district. The incident apparently happened when civilians crammed into a house to escape fighting between Nato-led troops and the Taliban.
The dead included women and children. Karzai has condemned the attack.
Nato said none of its initial reports confirmed any civilian deaths in the area or Nato rockets going astray. The International Security Assistance Force (Isaf) said the alliance had conducted an operation against insurgents in Sangin on Friday and it was investigating the claims of civilian deaths.
Reports of civilian deaths and casualties caused by foreign troops are a major cause of friction between Karzai and his Western backers and often lead to street demonstrations.
Western contributors to Isaf said reducing civilian casualties was a priority.
“Our activities should aim first of all at defending the population, not fighting the population,” Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini told reporters on the sidelines of a European Union meeting in Brussels yesterday

SHE needed to break the cycle.
What I asked her to do is to start to distinguish between good opportunities and great ones. She?d learned awhile back how to say ?no? to bad opportunities. What she needed to learn to do now is how to say ?no? to good opportunities, so she could say ?yes? to the great ones.
Most of her incoming phone calls were good opportunities, but the great ones were ones that she would need to put effort into pursuing. There was an opportunity lost during the eight months she filled with small projects. She lost the opportunity to be making contacts at the bigger companies, to be doing jobs for the bigger companies, and to be adding higher level projects to her portfolio.
Over the next month, we assessed the reasons behind why she was letting her business run her. Was she ready for the transition or was she rushing it? Maybe she really wanted to just stick with doing what she knew she could do well. Bigger clients could potentially require her to do things she didn?t have experience doing yet.
